An Ode to Hope and Life

Travel Indian Girl

An ode about hope and life, from moments of detachment:

I walked outside and I walked out.

I see, as I walk I leave footprints, only to be swept away by the next tide.

I see reflections in the water, of my past and of today…

I ride on the last rays of the sun, only to be lost in the dark.

I dance through those dark nights in shining stars and the waning moon.

And I fall in love with the dark, only to let go of it again at dawn.

I move on, riding on the first rays of sunrise each day only to realise that they are here to go away…

But I know my ways through them rays, I love the dark and the light even though they don’t stay.

I do not save those smiles for dry days.

I live each moment like I have one too many, relaxing, moving, sometimes living, sometimes not.

I fear no death because I know, I am never gone!

I am hope. And I am here to stay…

Then I walk in, into me and walk together into the sun.
